Month: December 2018

Prior Ski and Snowboard Giveaway

What could be better than a chance to win a set of Prior skis or a snowboard?!

Starting on January 1st and running for the entire month, each time you order a Coast Mountain beer in the tap house you can enter your name in the draw to win. We will be picking a name on January 31st, and although it is not required to be present to win, we highly encourage it.

Good luck to everyone!

Special Holiday Beer Releases

We will be releasing four special holiday beers in the tap house between December 20-24th. They are small batches and will be available in glasses and growler fills. Not all of them will be on tap at the same time so be sure to swing by several days and see what we’ve got pouring!

WHITE CHRISTMAS STOUT 5.5% ABV 30 IBU

Don’t let your eyes deceive you, this is still a stout! Our White Christmas Stout has a full body from the abundance of Oats as well as a touch of lactose in the grain bill. Flavours of Hammer Coffee and chocolate can be noticed immediately and an early addition of magnum hops brings just enough bitterness to balance everything out.

SHORTBREAD PALE ALE 5.3% ABV 28 IBU

Hundreds of delicious shortbread cookies baked by our brewer, Tanya, went into the mash of this Pale Ale. Notes of biscuit, crackers and caramel can be found in the body while Mosaic hops helps bring out a berry medley aroma. Make are to leave one of these out for Santa to make this his best Christmas yet!

CANDYCANE PORTER 5.3% alc./vol. 25 IBU
This porter has a huge body from a generous lactose addition, while notes of chocolate, caramel and espresso come from a variety of malts found in the grain bill. A Candycane tincture was added to give just a hint of candy cane in the nose, but steering taste on the pallet. Definitely one for the holidays and the inner child in all of us!
FRUIT CAKE SOUR 5.0% ale./vol. 0 IBU

No, this is not your Great Aunt’s fruit cake and we couldn’t be hap- pier about that. With a high percentage of Special B malt, notes of raisins and plums are brought out. This ale was then aged on blue- berries, cherries and Madagascar vanilla beans.
